REGENT to Reveal the Future of Maritime Mobility at Dubai Airshow

November 10, 2025

North Kingstown, RI, November 10, 2025 — REGENT Craft, the developer and manufacturer of Seaglider vessels, announced today that CEO and Co-founder Billy Thalheimer will present at the 2025 Dubai Airshow. The REGENT Seaglider vessel and capabilities will also be on display at an exhibit from the Strategic Development Fund (SDF), an Abu Dhabi-based investment firm and part of EDGE Group.

In his session on the Advanced Air Mobility Stage on Wednesday, November 19, at 14:20 – 14:30, Thalheimer will outline how Seagliders are reshaping coastal transportation by combining the speed of an aircraft with the efficiency and convenience of a maritime vessel. The discussion will highlight the technology, regulatory progress, and global market applications driving rapid adoption in both commercial and defense sectors, with a particular focus on the Middle East.

Building on the strong progress already established in recent years, REGENT plans to announce further partnerships in the region that will help accelerate time to market and deliver further value to the local economy. REGENT’s existing collaborations in the Middle East include:

  • A joint venture with Strategic Development Fund (SDF), an Abu Dhabi-based investment firm and part of EDGE Group, to bring manufacturing and aftermarket services for Seagliders to the UAE
  • Selection by ADNOC L&S for a proof-of-concept trial to assess suitability for transporting personnel to and from offshore energy infrastructure earlier in 2025
  • An agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to explore development and manufacturing capabilities in Abu Dhabi.
  • An agreement with the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transportation (DOT) to integrate seaglider service into the existing UAE transportation network.
  • Partnership with Abu Dhabi Maritime to explore the feasibility of electric seagliders as a mode of transportation on Abu Dhabi waterways.
  • Partnership with maritime classification society Lloyd’s Register and ongoing collaboration with the UAE Marine Transport Affairs Department to advance seaglider maritime certification in the country

Alongside Billy at the show will be General Manager, REGENT Defense, Tom Huntley, Vice President of Commercial Business Development, Adam Triolo, Vice President, Manufacture, Mark Duchesne, Vice President, Design, Bryan Baker, and Regional Director, Middle East, Shadi El Abdallah.

The team will have availability for briefings and interviews on the ground at the airshow. This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand about the future of maritime mobility, REGENT’s global expansion plans, and the company’s vision for the Middle East region - including potential applications across coastal transport, logistics, and defense.
